The gentleman of the club.
Branch is the kind of gentleman who believes the best place to be is wherever his people are. A devoted family man, loyal companion and enthusiastic participant in just about anything, Branch has never understood why anyone would want to go somewhere without him. The front porch? Excellent. The garage? Absolutely. A trip across town? He’s available. An afternoon doing absolutely nothing with his family? Perhaps his favorite engagement of all. He loves his people wholeheartedly, keeps a watchful eye on those he considers his own, and approaches nearly every family activity with the unmistakable optimism of a dog who’s just happy to be included.
Around the Club
As Chairman, Branch takes family affairs particularly seriously. He believes in togetherness, open-door policies and making sure everyone is properly accounted for.
Closed doors are generally considered an administrative oversight.
He can open them himself.
He will open them himself.
The Board considers this matter settled.
Dining Etiquette
Branch is a gentleman of traditional values and believes dinner should be enjoyed as a family.
He has been known to wait until everyone is seated before beginning his own meal.
Lady Josie, meanwhile, maintains a somewhat broader interpretation of communal dining and
has occasionally helped herself to his portion.
Branch has graciously declined to escalate the matter.
Transportation & Recreation
Truck rides are enthusiastically approved. Family outings are encouraged. Advance notice is
appreciated but entirely unnecessary.
If you’re going somewhere, Branch has already cleared his calendar.
His enthusiasm occasionally exceeds the limitations of his distinguished senior years. At ten, he
still approaches adventures with the optimism of a much younger dog, even when his joints
would prefer a more conservative itinerary.
Fortunately, he is equally committed to the fine art of the afternoon nap.
Personal Matters
Branch’s greatest talent has never been opening doors, supervising the property or maintaining a respectable dining schedule.
It’s making his people feel loved.
He is protective without needing to be in charge, affectionate without reservation and
remarkably content simply being part of whatever his family is doing.
He doesn’t need an elaborate itinerary, an exclusive social circle or particularly special
accommodations.
Give him his people, a little adventure, somewhere comfortable to rest and the occasional treat,
and he considers it a wonderful day.
His philosophy is simple: life is better together.
And if there’s room in the truck, he’s coming.
